KODAK equipped Mini 2 Retro with various features that help you to print photos easily and affordably. One of those features is the 4PASS Technology feature. This feature creates a flawless printing quality because of the multiple layers of ribbon printing technique.

Moreover, this brand also adds a unique laminating feature inside, which allows you to laminate your printed photo at the same time when you print it out. KODAK claim that the laminating feature can protect the photo and keep the condition like when it is freshly printed for 100 years more.

KODAK Mini 2 Retro also comes with two different types of photo printing modes. You can print the photo with a border or borderless photo. So, you can choose the larger type photo with the borderless mode or the border photo mode, where you can write some meaningful text on that.

Even though Mini 2 Retro comes with various features, we also found some problems. The first one is the design of the photo app from KODAK, which is quite confusing and not that user-friendly. Then, there are also cartridge problems, like jamming and blank printing, which is sometimes annoying when using it to print multiple photos.

Canon IVY Review

Next, we have Canon IVY, which is the strong contender against KODAK Mini 2 Retro. Design-wise, it is very cute with a light and simple interface, which is suitable for all people. The size is also compact, which makes it very portable.

This printer also has a Bluetooth feature that you will need to connect to your device for printing purposes. You have to use the Canon mini print app that is available at Google Play and App Store. The app is suitable for iOS 9.0 or later or Android 4.4 or later.

You also can print directly from your social media thanks to that application. The print resolution you can create using this product is 314 x 400 pixels, which in our opinion is quite low compared to the KODAK product.  But, we love the peel and stick backing on the photo paper that comes in its bundle for easy arrangement on our photo album.

As for the flaw, we found that during the printing process, it creates high-pitched noise, which is quite displeasing. We thought that ruined the photo after it was printed out from the device. Other than that noisy thing, it doesn’t have a noteworthy problem.
