Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-300 vs Canon Pixma Pro-100
Canon has released two inkjet printers that we think are interesting to try and review. So, we did that and got a chance to use two printers, imagePROGRAF PRO-300, and Pixma Pro-100. Here, we want to share the result of our comparison between Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 vs Canon Pixma Pro-100.
Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 Review
Our first impression after trying this printer is that it is easy to use. We love the Nozzle Recovery System and Skew Correction, which allows us to save time printing without adjusting the position of the image manually. This feature is, indeed, improving our working productivity several fold.
The ink system is also another feature we need to highlight. It uses a 9-color plus Chroma Optimizer ink system, which is the trademark of the Canon printer. This ink system produces detailed color matches with the printing needs of individuals or offices and beginners or professionals.
The 3.0-inch colored LCD monitor helps us to see various statuses about the printer. It includes the ink levels, printing status, and more. It also gives us a sign whenever it detects something changing on that status that requires further inspection or attention.
Furthermore, it has a Wi-Fi connection feature, which works wonderfully with our place’s network. We can easily connect it with several laptops and PCs at our places without any problem.
Unfortunately, we only find the driver installation file only for Windows in the CD included in the package. So, if you use a Mac device, you have to visit Canon’s official website to get the driver.

Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 Pros & Cons

- 3-inches LCD monitors to operate the printer functions.
- No driver for Mac inside the included CD in the package.
Canon Pixma Pro-100 Review
The ink system in this inkjet printer uses a unique 8-dye-based system. This system allows you to print better gradients and detailed colors. For monochrome printing, out of that 8-dye system, it uses three of them specialized in this printing mode.
Furthermore, it uses a unique Optimum Image Generating System for optimal ink usage and combination. It saves ink and produces more colors that can facilitate any color printing. Moreover, this printer is also compatible with the CLI 42 ink tank type.
The paper tray is big enough to hold various sizes and numbers of paper. It also comes with an auto sheet feeder. As for the compatible paper size, you can use it for photo paper (4×6), letter (8×10), and A3 paper.
The printing quality can easily reach 4800 x 2400 dots per inch, which provides highly detailed printing results. Therefore, it is suitable for printing photos. You also can use it to print on various printing media.
However, this printer is too heavy for us. It even has a “team lift” sticker on its box, which means you need help from others to move it around. If you plan to move around a lot, it is not for you.
